Abstract
The objective of the present work is to analyze the relationship between Environmental Management and Sustainable Development in the province of Espinar, which is influenced by mining, is important since it allows to diagnose the current situation, in terms of compliance with the established norms, to This was done two surveys of Environmental Management and Sustainable Development the same that were applied to Authorities, Officials and Workers of the Provincial Municipality of Espinar. The study is of correlational type and the research design is non-experimental, the sample for the study was probabilistic. From the study it was obtained that 70% of Authorities, Employees and Workers perceive the Environmental Management of the Municipality of Espinar is deficient to very deficient, 52.5% states that planning is deficient, 85.0% perceive that management is deficient similar results are Observe for organization and control; While the variable sustainable development in 65% is deficient, this is because economic growth, ecological balance and social progress in more than 50% is inadequate. In the study of the Chi - square test at 95%, we conclude that there is a significant and direct relationship between Environmental Management and Sustainable Development in the Provincial Municipality of Espinar. In order to reverse this situation, it is necessary to control the environmental management by supervising the work with the aim of improving sustainable development.
